Directions

The Cittadella Universitaria (University campus) has 3 entrances:

1. Via Santa Sofia, 64 (cars and pedestrians)
2. Viale Andrea Doria, 6 (pedestrians only)
3. Via Passo Gravina, 181 (cars and pedestrians)

You can use any of these to reach the workshop venue (Building 14).

How to move around in Catania

Catania is a small city and you can easily walk to the workshop venue from the city centre (2-4km). Alternatively, you can use taxis, metro (subway) and buses.

Connection with the Catania Fontanarossa international airport

The airport is a few kilometres away from the city centre. Connections are either by taxi or bus.

The ALIBUS bus line by AMTS runs from 5am to midnight. Tickets can be bought either at a machine or on board, and must be validated on board.

You can enjoy taxi fixed rates if you book your cab by web or phone. Taxis at the arrivals have metered rates instead.

Connections with the Catania Centrale train station

The station is at walking distance from the city centre. The Giovanni XXIII metro station is a few metres away from the main exit.

Metro and buses

You can easily reach the workshop venue from the following metro stations:

• Milo. From there, either have a 18-min walk or take the Metro Shuttle.
• Borgo. From there, either have a 18-min walk or take the station exit towards "Via Etnea", hop on one of the following buses: BRT1, 442, 556 and get off at entrance 1 or 2. Buses 929 and 744 can be used as well (they stop at 10 minutes walking from entrance 2).

Metro tickets can be bought inside the metro stations or via the FCE CATANIA mobile app.

Bus tickets can be bought via the AMTS Catania mobile app or in authorized centres, such as tobacconists. Tickets on paper must be validated onboard.

Car parking at the workshop venue

You can park your car inside the Cittadella Universitaria, but a ticket must be bought if parking on the blue slots. Use the machines located nearby.
